Tayvanlı Prof. Liao Chong-pin ıslatılınca enerji veren pil icat etti. Liao pilin ıslatıldıktan sonra 2 ila 7 gün arasında enerji sağlayabildiğini söyledi.
Formoza Üniversitesi'nde görev yapan Liao icat ettiği pilin tamamen organik olduğunu, herhangi bir toksit atık içermediği için çevreye zarar vermeyeceğini açıkladı. Pil su veya herhangi bir sıvı maddeyle ıslatıldıktan 10 saniye sonra çalışmaya başlıyor. Pilin tek kötü özelliği ise normal pillerin ancak yarısı kadar güç sağlayabilmesi. Liao pilin maliyetini 1 ila 2 NT (5 ila 10 YKR) arasında olacağını da ifade etti.

Patent başvurusu yapılan yeni ürünün kısa zaman içinde piyasaya çıkması bekleniyor.
